Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to architect and build production web applications that connect data-backed services with intuitive frontend interfaces. The work will enable self-service operational processes, workflow automation, system integrations, and reliable data movement. As an early core engineer, this person will establish software foundations, deliver end-to-end solutions, and help raise engineering standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

- Architect and build full-stack applications for data-driven operational workflows.

- Develop backend APIs, microservices, workflow orchestration, automated triggers, and system synchronization.

- Build production frontend experiences with React and TypeScript.

- Establish architecture patterns, coding standards, and maintainable engineering practices as an early core team member.

- Lead code reviews, guide peers, and contribute directly to hands-on implementation.

- Diagnose reliability and performance issues across applications, services, integrations, and datastores.

- Deliver measurable improvements to product capability, operational efficiency, or system quality.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

 

- 5+ years of hands-on software development using Java or Python.

- 5+ years building backend services, APIs, or other data-driven applications.

- 5+ years working with datastores such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or comparable technologies.

- 4+ years building production applications with both React and TypeScript.

- Strong HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) skills.

- Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs, RPC-style communication, and JSON-based integrations.

- Production cloud experience with a strong focus on AWS.

- Experience leading code reviews and improving software quality.

- Evidence of tangible impact from personally delivered engineering work.

- A technical bachelor's degree.

- Ability to operate as an early core engineer by shaping architecture, establishing coding standards, and guiding peers while remaining hands-on.

 

Nice-to-Have Skills

 

- Billing-system experience.

- Service-oriented or event-driven architecture experience.

- Frontend GraphQL experience, including Apollo or comparable tooling.

- Experience with Kafka, Amazon SQS, RabbitMQ, or comparable messaging systems.

- Design-system or reusable component-library experience.

- Jest and React Testing Library experience.

- Webpack or Vite experience.

- Web accessibility experience, including WCAG.

- Strong production debugging and troubleshooting experience.

- Experience with large-scale or high-performance systems, including consistency, scalability, replication, or redundancy concerns.

- Enterprise experience strongly preferred.

Location Time and Engagement

 

- Candidates must be based in LATAM.

- Full US Central Time coverage is required.

- This is a contract engagement at 40 hours per week.

- The anticipated engagement runs through March 31, 2027.

- This is not currently a contract-to-hire opportunity.
