Job Description

As part of the Exploratory Research Team, you'll be  responsible for developing and implementing strategies to capture, organize, and disseminate knowledge and insights generated through the organization's research and development (R&D) activities.

In this role you'll play as a critical link between the R&D team and the broader organization, ensuring that valuable information and learnings are effectively shared and leveraged to drive innovation, organizational growth and support strategic decision-making.

You'll collaborate with R&D teams to identify and document critical knowledge assets, best practices, and intellectual property, ensuring a seamless transfer of knowledge.

Facilitate the sharing of knowledge and insights between the R&D and IP teams to enhance the organization's ability to leverage its intellectual property for competitive advantage.

Act as interface with corporate functions to align existing initiatives, guidances and best practices in content and knowledge management.

Your main activities will be:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge management system to capture, store, and organize information and insights from the R&D process, including research findings, experimental data, technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams throughout the development phases to aggregate R&D findings in “process books” or “Know-Hows”, acting as responsible for collecting and organizing information, writing the first draft of the documentation and subsequent updates.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams, Tech transfer, Supply chain in writing RFP (request for proposals) summarizing relevant information in advanced stages of process and product development. Responsible for collecting and organizing technical and scientific information, writing the first draft of documentation and subsequent updates.
  • Collaborate with Digital and Data department in developing tools to facilitate the efficient retrieval, sharing and application of R&D knowledge across the organization, particularly providing custom and user requirements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation through knowledge-sharing initiatives and training programs in collaboration with HR.
  • Collaborate closely with the Intellectual Property (IP) department to identify, document, and protect critical knowledge assets,  and other intellectual property generated through the R&D process

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a scientific discipline, such as Information sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacy, food sciences, or similar.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in chemical, biotechnological or food science research, management of R&D activities/projects in companies in the biotechnological, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical sectors, including   PhD or post-doc experiences.

Technical knowledge/managerial expertise/skills

  • Familiarity with relevant technologies and software platforms for knowledge management, such as content management systems, collaboration tools, and data visualization software.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property management and protection.
  • Scientific knowledge applicable to research and development of active pharmaceutical and nutritional ingredients and bioactive substances, for nutraceutical and pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Innovation skills (ability to propose and develop innovative and profitable solutions, in line with business strategies).
  • Knowledge of English, written and spoken; optional knowledge of French.
  • Proficient in data analysis, information synthesis, and knowledge sharing techniques.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work in an international environment and willingness to travel.
