Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team of around 1,700 people worldwide to help us power up the traveller's journey for millions of holidaymakers. 

The person, reporting to the HQ Team based in Switzerland, will contribute to the accounting closing of the legal entity recently created in Romania.

The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department and ensuring the integrity of financial data. This role requires an autonomous professional with 3–4 years of experience who possesses the technical expertise to manage the full accounting cycle, from primary journal entries to the final preparation of a simple Annual Statutory Financial Statements. The Accountant will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Team -  you will join the Accountancy team within the Finance department.

Travel time required - average 10% needed to the Switzerland Headquarter.

What your impact will be:

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the companies, such as payroll, invoicing and other transactions

  • Registration of passive invoice with AI tools

  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and other GL accounts

  • Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support decision-making purposes

  • Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules

  • Support month-end and year-end closing process

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles, both local and Group ones

  • Liaise with the Finance Manager to improve financial procedures

  • Assure tax compliance and respect of tax deadlines

  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns

  • Interact with internal and external auditors.

  • Proactiveness in identifying gap or improvements in processes to be fixed and automatised with AI

Qualifications

Your expertise:

  • Certificate or Degree in Accounting/Business/Economics or in a similar field

  • At least 3-4 years in a similar role and/or in an audit firm

  • Fluency in English

  • Good Office knowledge

  • Enthusiasm in working with AI tools and proactiveness in automatise processes

Desirable: 

  • Experience in travel agency accounting and tax legislation

  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central (NAV) ERP software

  • Basic proficiency with AI tools and a strong interest in how AI can automate accounting workflows

  • Fluency in French
