Role summary:


Reporting to the Manager of Service Information, the VW Group Dealer Service Technology Specialist requires a dealer minded professional with at least 3-5 years of automotive experience, preferably with a fixed operations focus. This role is responsible for supporting the integration of dealer aftersales systems with the VWGoA ElsaPro service information system. This position is also responsible for identifying and assisting with the execution dealer programs and dealer technology that are designed to grow the dealership service and parts business, specifically DMS system and the dealer service retail workflow utilizing service lane technology. Additionally, this position will be responsible for working with third party data and research providers on benchmark studies, annual dealer and customer surveys, and as needed research projects.


Role responsibilities:


Project management - coordinate with internal and external customers to develop and execute projects on budget and on time

Vendor management - manage relationships with vendors to provide accurate service data reporting to dealers, field and corporate users

Position is responsible for looking for opportunities to improve dealership service flow, CSI, retention and parts sales through the adaptation of new and or emerging technologies, Carlisle Research and Industry trends.

Responsible for quantifying the ROI for these new technologies and developing business cases for budget consideration.

Position will be required to dissect and analyze annual the Carlisle Service Managers for the use of improving Service Managers Satisfaction.

After Sales reporting - including certain daily, weekly, and monthly reports used throughout the organization as requested

After Sales analysis - ad hoc studies as required to support internal analyses and requests from internal functional areas for example: Service Operations, Parts Marketing, Accessories

Examples of programs under this role are the Elsa2Go mobile service lane technology, as well as the ElsaPro & DMS integration.

Required Skills:


3-5 years of experience with thorough knowledge and understanding of fixed operations and the service drive

Strong Project Management skills

Knowledge of dealer IT systems such as Dealer Management Systems (DMS), as well as online appointment scheduling, service lane tablets, and others.

Strong service lane workflow knowledge

Ability to organize data for presentations at the executive level

Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written

Analytical and conceptual thinking - using logic and reason, creative and strategic

Ability to take on new problems, structure approaches, interpret data, and draw meaningful conclusions

Quality driven and reliable - high attention to detail and ensuring accuracy with minimal errors

Computer savvy - skilled in the use of software, business intelligence / database systems

Change management - able to assess current processes, identify improvements, and implement change

Strong DMS system knowledge
