Job Description
Responsibility for overall maintenance of equipment.
Test Maintenance Technicians
Minimum certificate in engineering discipline or equivalent relevant qualification (NFQ Level 6). The role is to maintain test equipment, troubleshoot hardware and software for test platforms like AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection), ICT (In Circuit Test), functional test, automatic assembly and automatic packing and implement process improvements. The Technician is fully responsible to support the production / manufacturing area in order to meet productivity and efficiency targets.
Key responsibilities:-
Responsibility for overall maintenance of equipment.
- Preventative maintenance and monitoring of machines.
- Maximisation of machine up time and utilisation.
- To become familiar with all aspects of new equipment / technology including production processes.
- To carry out changeover of machines in line with production schedules and new product builds.
- Review machines / area on an ongoing basis, with a view to possible improvements.
- Responsibility for environmental issues within your area.
Experience:-
Experience in Electronic Manufacturing
Experience in high volume automation & PLC systems
Fault finding experience
Qualifications
Qualifications:-
Cert/Diploma in Engineering (NFQ Level 6 or 7)
Electronic/Electrical/Mechatronic
Knowledge & Skills:-
Knowledge of field bus protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet)
Systematic approach to fault finding & process improvements
Process capability including 6 sigma approach & Measurement systems CMK / CpK
Effective documentation & reporting skills
Additional Information
Shift Pattern:
3x12hr shifts, rotating between days and nights, Monday - Wednesday and Thursday - Saturday. A 25% shift premium applies while working this shift pattern.
