Job Description
Summary:
The Digital Marketing Associate manages all aspects of the Kimmel Center’s Email Marketing Channel, and works closely with the Marketing team, and all departments across the Kimmel Center and Resident Companies. Email is the most impactful marketing channel for the Kimmel Center and a great opportunity to learn at one of the nation’s largest performing arts centers.
Essential Functions:
· Manages all email communications for the Kimmel Center.
o Works with email requestors to schedule emails and ensure requests are complete.
o Builds the email in online editing tool (Wordfly), leveraging existing templates, and using new designs, as needed.
o Liases with staff from Marketing, Sales, Programming, Development, Education, F&B, Ticket Philadelphia and Resident Companies to fine-tune content, make revisions and get approvals.
o As part of the team, determines the target audience, submits data requests for each email send and checks the lists of recipients.
o Monitors and provides reporting on email campaigns and interest counts.
o Work closely with IT to schedule, test and deploy emails each day.
· Runs production meetings, maintains naming convention for templates and campaigns to ensure smooth processes.
· Establishes and reinforce processes. Works collaboratively with team to determine new processes as needed.
· Maintains library of templates and new design requests. Looks for ways to create emails efficiently.
· Works with the team to ideate and test new email concepts to build best practices.
· Perform A/B testing with subject lines and report findings of effectiveness.
· Support ad sales. Maintain requirements for advertisers who buy emails and digital signage.
· Supports rotation of digital signs across the campus. Upload digital assets, set timings, and add alert bulletins, manage digital takeovers.
· Maintain external requirements for submission guidelines, and documents processes in EMarketing Guide.
· Support Web Team on new web page development, SEO/SEM and other projects as needed.
· Miscellaneous projects as assigned.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Detail-orientation and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and react quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Superb interpersonal skills.
• Administrative ability
• Experience in HTML.
• Experience working with an Email Building tool, such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Wordfly, Surveymonkey, etc. would be a plus.
• Experience in CSS, Adobe Flash as well as streaming audio and video technology, or interest in design would be a plus.
• Indesign and photoshop experience would be a plus.
• Interest in the arts and entertainment marketing.
Environment, Physical demands, and other conditions:
• The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from multiple people and interact with other staff
• Some nights and weekends will be necessary
