Job Description

The Director, Product Management, Critical Communications Systems will lead the global product management function for all product segments within brands globally across RTS Intercom Systems, Telex Radio Dispatch and Telex Aviation.  This role is responsible for defining and executing product strategy, translating market and customer insights into actionable roadmaps, and leading a global team of Technical Product Managers and Product Strategy Managers.

The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, deep experience in professional audio or adjacent technology markets, and the ability to align cross-functional teams around clear priorities. This position plays a critical role in driving long-term portfolio success, innovation, and commercial impact across both brands.

Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Define and own the global product strategy for RTS Intercom Systems, Telex Radio Dispatch and Telex Aviation
  • Develop and maintain multi-year product roadmaps aligned with brand strategy, customer needs, and business objectives.
  • Ensure portfolio coherence, clear value propositions, and competitive differentiation across regions and market segments.
  • Drive strategic development partnership decisions and lifecycle management, including new product introductions, line extensions, and end-of-life planning.
  • Plan and execute successful global product launches.

Road Mapping & Prioritization

  • Lead roadmap development and prioritization across multiple product lines, balancing customer demand, technical feasibility, and commercial impact.
  • Establish clear prioritization frameworks to guide investment decisions and trade-offs.
  • Partner closely with engineering, branding, quality and operations teams to ensure roadmap execution and on-time delivery.
  • Continuously reassess priorities based on market shifts, competitive dynamics, and performance metrics.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Technical Product Managers and Product Strategy Managers
  • Set clear objectives, accountability, and performance expectations across the team.
  • Build scalable product management processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Foster strong collaboration across geographies and time zones.

Cross-Functional & Market Engagement

  • Serve as the primary product leadership interface to Research, Engineering, Regional Growth, Key Accounts, operations, and executive leadership teams.
  • Partner with regional commercial teams to translate market feedback into actionable product insights.
  • Engage directly with customers, integrators, consultants, and channel partners to validate strategy and roadmap direction.
  • Represent product management in executive reviews, portfolio councils, and strategic planning forums.

Business Impact & Execution

  • Own business cases for major product initiatives, including revenue, margin, and investment assumptions.
  • Track portfolio performance and adjust strategy based on data and outcomes.
  • Ensure product strategies support global growth while enabling regional flexibility where needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience with professional communication solutions designed for mission-critical, real-time voice coordination in broadcasting, live events, sports, and industrial applications.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or related roles within broadcast, AV, or technology industries.
  • Proven experience leading and developing global product management teams.
  • Strong background in roadmap ownership, prioritization, and lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 50%.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to translate complex technology into customer-centric value propositions.
  • Experience working in global, matrixed organizations.
  • Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.

Additional Information

The U.S. based hourly rate for this role is between $180,000-210,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
