IT Security Specialist – Automation
- Full-time
Job Description
Do you want to turn cybersecurity challenges into practical automation that makes security operations faster and more consistent? As our IT Security Specialist – Automation, you will take ownership of developing our security automation capabilities and help shape how we work with SOAR at JYSK.
You will join JYSK Head Office in Aarhus and work closely with colleagues across our security team. This is an opportunity to combine cybersecurity, automation and hands-on problem-solving in a role where you can take an idea from identifying an opportunity to implementing a working solution.
WHAT WE OFFER YOU
As an IT Security Engineer, you will become part of a collaborative team that works with modern tools and methods to improve JYSK’s security posture. You will also benefit from a strong focus on your personal and professional development through structured learning and collaboration with colleagues across IT and the wider business.
Furthermore, we offer you:
- A young, dynamic team dedicated to IT security and cyber defence
- A healthy work-life-balance supported by a flexible work-from-home policy
- Opportunities to work on passion projects alongside your core responsibilities
- A relaxed, open-minded working environment with collaboration opportunities across all levels of the organisation
- Attractive staff benefits and discounts within the Lars Larsen Group
- Freshly prepared breakfast and lunch served daily by our canteen
- Tailored training and courses to support your development and career path
WHAT YOUR NEXT JOB WILL BE ABOUT
You will take ownership of the implementation, development and day-to-day operation of our security automation platform, from initial setup to continuous improvement. Working closely with the security team, you will identify opportunities for automation, understand operational needs and turn them into practical and reliable security workflows.
A key part of your role will be driving our SOAR journey forward. You will have room to take initiative, challenge existing ways of working and identify where automation can reduce manual effort and improve the consistency of our security operations.
Your tasks and responsibilities in the job include:
- Design, build, test and maintain SOAR playbooks and automated response workflows for security incidents and operational processes
- Improve and streamline incident response processes to reduce manual work and enable faster, more consistent responses
- Integrate the SOAR platform with security tools and data sources, including SIEM, EDR, identity, threat intelligence and ticketing systems
- Monitor, troubleshoot and continuously improve existing security automations to keep them reliable, maintainable and fit for purpose
- Work with the security team to identify automation opportunities and translate operational requirements into effective workflows
- Drive security automation initiatives from idea to implementation and proactively identify what should be automated next

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING
You may already have experience from cybersecurity, security operations or incident response and now want to specialise further in security automation. More important is your ability to take ownership, learn quickly and turn technical challenges into solutions that work in practice.
We are looking for a new colleague who:
- Has 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably within security operations, incident response, SIEM or security automation
- Takes ownership and works independently, with the ability to move a challenge forward without needing every step defined
- Has a practical and curious approach to understanding how systems and processes work and translating requirements into solutions
- Has experience with, or a strong interest in, SOAR platforms, security automation, scripting and system integrations
- Has experience with Python or a similar scripting language, or is motivated to develop these skills further
- Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues and is comfortable driving initiatives across a security team
- Takes initiative, learns quickly and is motivated by building new solutions and improving existing ways of working
