Launched in 2007, ixigo is an AI-based travel app based in Gurugram, India. ixigo services Indian travellers and their travel utility, planning and booking problems using technology and artificial intelligence. Offering train, flight and bus utility & bookings, the company applies AI for deal discovery, personalized recommendations, airfare predictions & alerts, train delay prediction, PNR confirmation prediction and automated customer service.

As a Growth Software Engineer at ixigo, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive user acquisition, retention and revenue growth. You will work closely with the product, marketing and data science teams to identify opportunities for growth, and develop and implement experiments to test new ideas. And you are not working alone on that mission, you will be surrounded by other smart Growth engineers.

Responsibilities-

• Develop, deploy and maintain growth experiments and campaigns across multiple channels and platforms, including in-app experiences, email, push notifications, social media, search, display and affiliate marketing.
• Take ownership of modules from end-to-end and demonstrate pride in the quality of work delivered by coding, developing, designing, and architecting features related to existing applications.
• Deliver comprehensive solutions that span the entire app life cycle, from design to build, deployment, testing, release to app stores, and post-release support.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to conceive, develop, test, and launch innovative growth products.
• Proactively research, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge technologies that enhance development efficiency and keep abreast of the latest industry trends.
• Conceptualize and execute your own projects, demonstrating a high level of creativity and innovation.

Skills & Qualifications:

• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics.
• 2-4 years of experience, working with Full Stack Technologies, preferably with evidence of personal projects
• Demonstrable hands-on experience in building end-to-end applications with a portfolio of projects to showcase.
• Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and data to derive actionable insights
• Comfortable with fast-paced environments and rapid iteration.
• Advanced knowledge of Javascript (ES6), Typescript, CSS3, HTML5, DOM.
• Hands-on experience and working Knowledge of React with SSR, NextJS, NodeJS and MongoDB or Relational Databases.
• JS design patterns and concepts of OOPS and functional programming in JS.
• Fluent in responsive design and development for mobile and tablet devices.
• Javascript testing frameworks: Integration and Unit TDD.
• Must have knowledge of web vitals and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience of building high performance and scalable applications.
• Practical in-depth knowledge of frontend build tools like webpack.

Must Have: 

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6), React.js, and Node JS, with the ability to leverage these technologies to build robust and scalable applications.
• Adept at designing and developing responsive applications that provide optimal user experiences on mobile and tablet devices.
• Possess a keen sense of aesthetics and usability, ensuring that the solutions you develop are not only functional but also visually appealing and easy to use.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the industry, continuously honing your skills to enhance your ability to deliver high-quality products.

Good to Have:

• CMS integration experience: Wordpress, Ghost JS blogging Frameworks.
• Understanding of SEO, Digital/Content Marketing in general will be a huge plus.
• No-Code/Low-Code solutions: Zapier, Notion APIs… Know how to integrate a third party API. 
• Experience in startups or even having been a co-founder.
• Open-source contributions are a huge plus.
• Strong initiative and a keen interest in rapidly learning new technologies and frameworks
• Experience with open-source projects
