Job Description

The Senior Aviation Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of aviation and aircraft leasing clients, providing high-quality accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and administrative services.

The role acts as the primary accounting contact for clients including aircraft lessors, aviation investment funds, airline leasing platforms, aviation securitisation vehicles, and structured finance entities. The successful candidate will lead client service delivery, manage a team of accountants, oversee complex aviation transactions, and ensure the timely preparation of financial statements and regulatory reporting.

The role combines technical accounting expertise, aviation industry knowledge, client relationship management, and people leadership to support a growing aviation services platform.

What You'll Do: 

  • You'll manage an allocated portfolio of aviation and aircraft leasing clients, serving as their trusted advisor on all accounting matters.
  • You'll provide technical accounting guidance on complex aviation transactions, including lease adjustments, borrowing facilities, securitisation structures, and derivative instruments.
  • You'll lead accounting workstreams for aircraft portfolio acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration and accurate financial reporting.
  • You'll lead accounting workstreams for aircraft portfolio disposals, managing all technical and compliance requirements.
  • You'll act as a relationship manager, maintaining strong client partnerships and delivering expert advisory support on evolving accounting challenges.
  • You'll drive excellence in aviation accounting practices across your client portfolio, staying abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

About you:

  • You hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • You possess professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.
  • You have demonstrated experience in aviation, aircraft leasing, or related financial services accounting.
  • You bring expertise in complex accounting transactions, including lease accounting, securitisation structures, and derivative instruments.
  • You demonstrate strong client relationship management skills and the ability to provide strategic advisory support on evolving accounting challenges.
