Job Description
The Role
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Group Audit & Control team. This role offers broad exposure to group reporting, financial controls, and audit processes within a multi-entity environment.
You will support the delivery of accurate financial information, contribute to the effectiveness of internal controls, and assist with external audit requirements. The position involves working closely with stakeholders across the Group and provides practical experience in consolidation, IFRS reporting, and financial governance.
This role would suit someone progressing towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA) who is looking to build technical capability and develop within a structured finance environment.
What you'll do
- Support external audits by preparing working papers, gathering financial documentation, and completing transaction testing
- Assist in reviewing internal financial controls, identifying risks or gaps and contributing to process improvements
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and balance sheet preparation
- Prepare financial reporting outputs, including consolidation journals, management reporting, and IFRS-based consolidated financial statements
- Apply financial systems knowledge (e.g. SUN Systems), alongside technical accounting understanding (preferably IFRS), with strong attention to detail, analytical capability, and effective communication across stakeholders

Qualifications
- You hold a degree qualification (preferred but not essential) in a relevant field.
- You are currently studying towards, or planning to pursue, a recognised professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or equivalent.
- You have strong computer skills, including experience with SUN Systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- You demonstrate solid knowledge of financial systems and software used in accounting functions.
