Job Description
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting the overall finance function for IQ‑EQ Group entities. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll manage complex accounting activities, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and contribute to high‑quality financial outputs while supporting and guiding junior team members.
What You Will Do
- You’ll process, review, and reconcile accounting transactions of varying complexity, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- You’ll prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, including statutory financial statements and management reports for Group reporting.
- You’ll manage tax and statutory compliance by preparing and submitting returns (VAT, PAYE, NPS, Corporate Tax), ensuring all obligations are met on time.
- You’ll oversee cashflow and treasury activities, perform reconciliations, and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies to support financial operations.
- You’ll support team development and business operations by coaching junior team members, responding to stakeholder queries, and contributing to process improvements and reporting initiatives.

Qualifications
About You
- You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, and are qualified or partly qualified ACCA, with relevant experience.
- You bring solid experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a financial services or corporate environment.
- You have strong knowledge of IFRS and applicable accounting regulations, and are confident preparing financial statements and reports.
- You are highly organised, detail‑oriented, and analytical, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and communicate effectively in English (written and spoken) while building strong working relationships.
