Job Description

As a Senior Invoicing Officer, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and efficient billing services across the business. Working closely with finance and operational teams, you’ll manage invoice processing, support month‑end activities, and ensure billing data is reliable and compliant. You’ll also contribute to improving processes and controls, helping to enhance overall efficiency and service quality.

What You Will Do 

  • You’ll generate, validate, and issue accurate invoices in line with SLAs and internal policies, ensuring all supporting data, approvals, and expense allocations are complete and correctly applied.
  • You’ll analyse staff time recordings and billing data, investigate discrepancies, and work with stakeholders to drive timely corrective actions and maintain billing accuracy.
  • You’ll produce billing performance and recovery reports, highlight key variances, and support trade debtor management and month‑end close activities.
  • You’ll act as a key point of contact for billing queries, collaborating with operational and finance teams to resolve issues and keep deliverables on track.
  • You’ll identify opportunities to streamline billing processes, contributing to automation, improved controls, and greater operational efficiency.

Qualifications

About You

  • You have strong accounting knowledge and hands‑on experience in invoicing, billing, or accounts receivable, ideally within a shared services or professional services environment.
  • You have a solid understanding of billing cycles, revenue recognition, and month‑end processes, and are confident working with financial data.
  • You are highly organised and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage high‑volume workloads and meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, data validation) and comfortable working with billing or ERP systems to extract, reconcile, and interpret data.
  • You are a collaborative and analytical team player, with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement; fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
