Job Description

  • Assist the FPSO Lead Rotating Engineer in the technical and operational integration of rotating equipment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and comment on detailed engineering documents for pumps, compressors, turbines, and associated rotating equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and international codes including API, ISO, and ASME.
  • Coordinate technical interfaces between rotating equipment and other disciplines such as process, electrical, HVAC, safety, and subsea teams.
  • Manage vendor deliverables, technical clarifications, deviations, and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
  • Monitor equipment quality, preservation, inspections, ITRs, punch lists, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Support supplier qualification activities, technical bid evaluations, emissions studies, and total cost of ownership assessments.
  • Assist pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness activities.
  • Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, change management processes, and technical audits.
  • Contribute to project reporting, schedule updates, progress monitoring, and manpower planning.
  • Promote and comply with company HSE policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in rotating equipment engineering or inspection within the oil and gas industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience on FPSO, offshore, or similar large-scale energy projects.
  • Strong experience in detailed design review, vendor package management, and interface coordination.
  • Proven participation in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), technical bid evaluations, and supplier management.
  • Solid knowledge of international standards including API, ISO, ASME, and related industry codes.
  • Experience supporting technical reviews, audits, HAZOPs, and multidisciplinary engineering activities.
  • Exposure to pre-commissioning, commissioning, system completion, and punch list management.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills in international and multicultural environments.
  • Fluent in English; French language skills are an advantage.
  • Willingness to work internationally, including assignments in France, Singapore, and South Korea.

  • Start Date: October 2026 (subject to Final Investment Decision)
  • Duration: 1 to 4 years following FPSO contract award
  • Contract Type: Residential, renewable assignment
