We are currently looking for a Site NDT QC Inspector to support a major Oil & Gas project in Iraq.
Job Description
The Site NDT QC Inspector will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and controlling all Non-Destructive Testing activities performed by contractors and subcontractors on site.
The role will ensure that all NDT activities are carried out in full compliance with project specifications, approved procedures, international codes, and contractual requirements.
Key responsibilities :
• Review, witness, monitor, and record daily NDT activities
• Conduct routine surveillance of NDT teams and ensure compliance with approved procedures
• Verify NDT personnel qualifications and certifications
• Review and validate NDT reports, films, digital images, and results
• Ensure proper traceability of NDT results, weld numbers, and repair cycles
• Verify NDT equipment calibration, validity, and certification
• Confirm the correct selection of NDT methods, techniques, and acceptance criteria
• Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformities, corrective actions, and re-testing
• Participate in QC and construction coordination meetings, audits, and site visits
• Maintain accurate NDT documentation for mechanical completion and handover packages
NDT methods covered include RT / DR, UT / PAUT / TOFD, MT, PT, PMI, hardness testing, ferrite testing, and VT for NDT-related checks.
Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years of experience in NDT QC on major Oil & Gas EPC projects
• Strong experience with piping, pressure vessels, structural steel, and static equipment
• Experience on CPF, refinery, or large industrial facilities is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of NDT methods, acceptance criteria, and inspection test plans
• PCN Level 2 or Level 3 certification is a strong asset
• Good understanding of ASME, API, AWS, ISO 9712, and project specifications
• Ability to interpret NDT reports, weld maps, and technical drawings
• Knowledge of weld repair cycles, re-inspection requirements, NCRs, deviations, and concessions
• Familiarity with digital QC systems such as Aconex, SharePoint, or SmartPlant is a plus
• Fluent English is mandatory
• Strong attention to detail, reporting discipline, autonomy, leadership, and resilience under pressure

• Rotation: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off
• Mobilization: September / October 2026
• Duration: 2 years, with a potential 1-year extension
