Job Description
We are currently looking for a QA/QC Piping Site Officer to join a major industrial project based in Maasvlakte, Rotterdam.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with quality requirements throughout the construction and commissioning phases of the project, with a strong focus on piping systems, welding activities, inspections, and pressure testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Site QA/QC Manager.
- Act as the QA/QC representative towards clients, partners, subcontractors, and inspection bodies.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with the site Quality Management System.
- Coordinate QA/QC activities and interfaces between disciplines, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and internal quality requirements.
- Prepare, review, and maintain QA/QC documentation and reports.
- Participate in technical audits and quality assessments of contractors and suppliers.
- Perform site inspections related to piping installation, mechanical works, and welding activities.
- Witness and monitor pressure testing activities (hydrostatic and pneumatic tests), ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements.
- Review, comment on, and approve Construction Quality Dossiers submitted by contractors.
- Coordinate with local authorities and third-party inspection agencies when required.
- Track quality KPIs, non-conformities, corrective actions, and project quality milestones.
- Promote a strong quality culture and continuous improvement mindset across all project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- IWT (International Welding Technologist) certification is required.
- Certified in MT, PT, and VT inspection methods.
- Familiarity with international codes, standards, and inspection procedures related to piping and welding works.
