Company Description

Our client French multinational energy major is developing offshore oil fields in Suriname (notably Block 58). The project focuses on deepwater production, aiming to boost reserves and output, with first oil expected before 2030.

Job Description

  • Lead daily project execution, ensuring alignment with plans, standards, and timelines
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery of milestones
  • Provide technical guidance and review engineering documents and proposals
  • Support site inspections, audits, and technical reviews
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure HSE compliance
  • Interface with contractors and monitor performance against contracts
  • Participate in meetings, report progress, and escalate key issues
  • Prepare regular reports and maintain accurate project documentation

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, or related discipline)
    • 10–15 years’ experience in completion, commissioning, or well testing in oil & gas projects
    • Proven track record in project execution, supervision, and multidisciplinary coordination
    • Strong technical knowledge of DST operations, completion systems, and well testing procedures
    • Familiar with international oil & gas standards, quality requirements, and HSE practices
    • Experience managing local contractors and multicultural teams
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Able to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines
    • Fluent in English (Dutch or Sranan Tongo a plus)
    • Willing to be based full-time in Paramaribo, Suriname
    • Available to work 6 days per week
