Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

The Endoluminal Program Director (EPD) is a senior commercial leader responsible for driving the growth, scalability, and performance of the Ion business across the Europe Direct Region. This role plays a critical part in building, developing, and leading a high-performing Endoluminal Clinical Sales organization while fostering strong customer partnerships and advancing programmatic excellence throughout the installed base.

Reporting to the VP Endoluminal Market Development and Commercialization Europe, the EPD is accountable for recruiting, coaching, and developing talent, establishing and strengthening relationships with key opinion leaders and executive stakeholders, and ensuring consistent execution of commercial strategies that drive procedural growth and customer success. Success in this role requires strong leadership, performance management, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to scale best practices across diverse markets.

As a strategic business leader, the EPD must anticipate evolving business needs, identify opportunities for growth, and effectively align resources to achieve organizational objectives. The role also requires a demonstrated ability to deliver accurate forecasting, drive operational rigor, and cultivate a culture aligned with Intuitive’s mission, values, and commitment to customer excellence.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing Endoluminal Clinical Sales team across the Europe Direct Region.
  • Drive execution of the Ion commercial strategy to achieve and exceed procedural growth, revenue, and organizational goals.
  • Coach and support Endoluminal Program Managers (EPMs) in performance management of QBR/ETA teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement aligned with Intuitive's mission and values
  • Drive strong cross-functional collaboration and alignment across teams
  • Maintain team focus and commitment to the defined Ion commercial strategy
  • Partner closely with Endoluminal Sales Directors (ESDs) and Endoluminal Sales Managers (ESMs) to deliver best-in-class customer experience and maximize customer success
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with physician leaders, executive stakeholders, and key opinion leaders to accelerate market adoption and advocacy
  • Identify, scale, and implement best practices, programs, and processes that support accelerated growth of the Ion procedure business
  • Effectively allocate and leverage organizational resources to achieve commercial objectives while maintaining budget discipline
  • Drive a solution-focused culture in a dynamic and challenging environment

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 8 years sales experience with minimum of two years sales management experience; preference for experience in healthcare or capital sales
  • Proven track record of recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing sales teams within the healthcare industry
  • Ability to travel up to 70%, dependent upon account distribution.
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of another European languages is a strong asset.

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience leading multi-country or multi-regional commercial teams within Europe
  • Success in introducing new technologies to the market is a plus.
