Job Description

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Support an established occupational health program within a regulated professional environment focused on employee health assessments, medical surveillance, and occupational medicine oversight. This role combines independent physician judgment, clinical review responsibilities, and interdisciplinary collaboration within a professionally managed healthcare setting.

Working alongside occupational health and administrative leadership, the physician provides medical suitability evaluations, reviews occupational health documentation, supports surveillance protocols, and contributes to coordinated employee health services aligned with regulatory and organizational standards.

Clinic Schedule: Monday - Friday (8 hours/day)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational health evaluations, surveillance reviews, and medical suitability assessments aligned with workplace health requirements
  • Review employee health records, surveillance findings, and occupational medicine documentation while providing clinical recommendations and written determinations
  • Support occupational health surveillance programs, employee health risk assessments, and job hazard evaluation activities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary stakeholders regarding workforce health, regulatory compliance, and occupational medicine protocols
  • Support development of occupational health examination protocols and medical suitability guidelines aligned with workplace health requirements
  • Maintain medical documentation and physician determinations in accordance with applicable privacy standards and healthcare regulations

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted physician license in New York
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board Certification in Occupational Medicine or Occupational Health
  • Experience performing occupational health evaluations, medical reviews, or employee health assessments
  • Ability to provide independent clinical judgment and written medical suitability determinations
  • Ability to maintain compliance with organizational and client-specific onboarding requirements

Preferred

  • Experience supporting regulated occupational health or employee wellness programs
  • Experience with medical surveillance, workplace health assessments, or physician review processes
  • Previous experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare environments
