Job Description
About the role
We are looking for a Portfolio Lead to own and govern InPost Group’s technology portfolio – 30+ key programmes and projects across multiple domains and markets (Poland, the United Kingdom, Ireland and international). You will give leadership one clear, reliable view of what is happening in Tech, where it is going and where the risks are.
This is not a role for running individual projects. You will work at portfolio level: knowing which initiatives exist, where they stand, how they depend on each other, and making sure the right people deliver the right data.
What you will do
- Own the technology portfolio: maintain a consolidated view with RAG status, dependencies, budget, timelines and outcomes, and flag risks early.
- Translate business strategy into a coherent portfolio roadmap with the Engineering Director, Product leadership and domain leaders.
- Track cross-programme dependencies, risks and work in progress, so Technology does not take on more than it can deliver.
- Run the Weekly Business Review end to end, prepare CTO and GLT briefings, distribute updates to SLT and maintain weekly InStandards reporting.
- Lead portfolio prioritisation and trade-off discussions; escalate critical blockers with clear recommendations.
- Define and enforce delivery frameworks, intake processes and portfolio standards across TPMs and Tech – and beyond.
- Govern portfolio tooling (Atlassian / Jira / Confluence), including cloud migration, to give business and tech stakeholders transparency.
- Act as PMO lead for strategic cross-functional programmes spanning Technology, Commercial, Legal and Marketing.
- Hold stakeholders – including domain directors – accountable for the quality and timeliness of their portfolio updates.
Qualifications
What we are looking for
- 7+ years in technical programme / project or portfolio management, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead TPM role.
- 5+ years managing complex, cross-functional programmes in multi-domain, multi-team environments.
- Experience at real portfolio scale – not just a few projects. Background as a project, senior product or programme manager working at larger scale; product-company experience is a plus.
- Experience coordinating delivery across multiple geographies and regulatory contexts.
- A “helicopter view”: strong dependency, risk and WIP tracking, and financial tracking at programme/portfolio level.
- Hands-on knowledge of portfolio tools (Jira, Confluence, Aha!, MS Project or similar) and of Agile, SAFe, Waterfall and Kanban methodologies.
- Solid technical understanding (software architecture, APIs, cloud, databases) and SQL / data analysis skills.
- Experience producing executive-level reporting (weekly business reviews, CTO / C-suite briefings).
- Assertiveness, high organisation and clear communication; the ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority and work with strong personalities.
- Fluent English (C1/C2)
Nice to have
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce or fintech / payments; portfolio management at group or international scale.
- Master’s degree in Business or Engineering Management.
- PMP, PgMP, SAFe, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, ITIL or equivalent; Lean / Six Sigma knowledge; basic programming skills.
How we work
This is a remote role. We may ask you to visit our office (Warsaw/Cracow) roughly once a month. Last step of the recruitment process will take place in our office.
Additional Information
- Opportunity to work in a diverse, international, and cross-functional environment, along with leading experts.
- You work and learn from a senior leader and their leadership team, expanding your experience and exposure in the e-commerce and logistics industries.
- InPost is a growing company that offers its people an increasing number of opportunities in several locations in Europe.
- Fulfilling careers with a range of benefits for people and investing in providing training opportunities for their development.
- You will feel a part of the InPost community that makes an impact on sustainability, convenient deliveries, and the circular economy every day.
- Excellent working environment and flexible hours
- We offer B2B type of contract
