Job Description
This role is based in Menara Skymind office.
To maximise the effectiveness of Informa TechTarget’s business processes through the provision of actionable data, analysis and recommendations that enable staff at all levels to make profitable business decisions. From the CEO through to individual account managers, having the right information at the right time is key to remaining competitive. In a multi-divisional, multi-functional and global business it is essential that staff can rely on the provision of this information and remained focussed on executing their own roles. This will be achieved by:
- Contributing fully to the objectives of your team and achieve the personal objectives set by your manager
- Continually improve your knowledge to ensure the best support can be offered
- Act as support for Senior Analysts when necessary
- Being relentless in your pursuit of automation improvement of systems and process

Key responsibilities & activities
Data Accuracy/Quality
- Own the data and reporting processes for key business tools including but not limited to Research planning and Consulting tracking.
- Ensure new data, data sets or data sources are documented, understood, and used correctly in dashboards
- Ensure day to day delivery of reports and analysis is timely, accurate and complete
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business leaders and other key stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Present findings, reports and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
Team Support
- Provide cover to team members who are unavailable
- Ensuring other team members have access to documentation to help them cover when you are unavailable
- Actively seek opportunities to improve processes and increase focus on the “customer”
Development, Coaching and Self-awareness
- Complete any required training on time relevant to the overall performance of your role.
- Attend team meetings and 1:1 meetings to stay up to date with the business goals and performance.
- Develop a clear understanding of personal strengths and weakness. Seek opportunities to utilize strengths and to improve on weaknesses where necessary.
Dashboard Development
- Create high quality data visualisations that enable the users to focus on the right details with minimal training
Process Automation
- Create time saving business process automations to standardise processes and have them run automatically without manual intervention
Training & Support
- Engage with internal training opportunities, take ownership of how you develop in the role and the direction in which you wish to advance
- Provide training to end users on systems and platforms you use and develop
- Upskill in Data Science related knowledge
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to articulate complex solutions in a simple and coherent manner
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and on a team
- Ability to handle pressure, juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and work well with a diverse customer base and various internal teams
- Self-critical and able to take on board advice and constructive criticism
- Process & customer focused
- Financially literate with good mathematical skills
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
- SQL
- Python
- Ability to trouble-shoot data queries and problems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Experience working with Salesforce data preferred
- Tableau or similar visualisation tool
- Interest in developing data science skills in Python
Qualifications
Essential
- Proficiency in data analysis.
- Strong capabilities in handling large, complex datasets and addressing common data quality challenges in a research environment.
- Proven track record of requirements gathering, analytical workflow design, resource planning, timeline management, problem-solving and stakeholder communication.
- Hands-on experience in programming language such as Python or R with demonstrated ability to build end-to-end analytical workflows.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to facilitate productive discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Data Analysis, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in analytical roles.
Desirable
- Research skills for ongoing analysis and understanding of industry trends and key strategic issues.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear and concise written documentation on methodologies, assumptions and limitations.
- Experience presenting to internal stakeholders
- Experience with cloud-based analytical platforms
