Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Storage Consultant / Commvault Specialist to join our Infrastructure Services team. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert for enterprise storage, backup, recovery, and cyber resilience solutions, with a strong focus on Commvault technologies.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting storage and data protection environments for enterprise customers. As a trusted advisor, you will help organizations safeguard their critical data while ensuring high availability, security, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Storage & Data Management

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise storage solutions.
  • Develop storage architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Perform capacity planning, performance analysis, and optimization activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage-related incidents and problems.
  • Lead storage migration, consolidation, and modernization projects.
  • Provide best practice recommendations for storage infrastructure.

Commvault Backup & Recovery

  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage Commvault environments.
  • Develop and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Implement and support on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based data protection solutions.
  • Perform upgrades, patch management, and platform optimization.
  • Monitor backup success rates, system performance, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct and document recovery and disaster recovery testing.
  • Support ransomware protection and cyber recovery initiatives.
  • Implement cyber resilience and data security best practices.
  • Design and support immutable backup and air-gapped recovery solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit and risk management activities related to backup and data protection.

 

Consultancy & Customer Engagement

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead technical workshops, assessments, and design sessions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Provide expert-level support and guidance during project delivery.
  • Assist pre-sales teams with solution design and technical proposals.
  • Mentor junior consultants and share technical knowledge within the team.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience

Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent through experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in storage, backup, and data protection technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Commvault Complete Data Protection.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise storage platforms such as:
    • Dell EMC
    • NetApp
    • HPE Alletra / Nimble
  • Experience with virtualization technologies:
    • VMware vSphere
    • KVM
    • Nutanix
  • Experience with cloud platforms is considered as a plus:
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is considered an asset.

  • Commvault Certified Expert (CCE)
