We're looking for an Investment Operations Specialist to play a key role in managing securities transactions across multiple markets and custodians. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving operational challenges, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the end-to-end processing of securities transactions and settlements.
  • Ensure accurate booking and accounting of transactions within client portfolios.
  • Monitor and prioritize operations based on risk, deadlines, transaction value, and client impact.
  • Perform trade matching and reconcile transactions with counterparties and custodians.
  • Manage settlement instructions and follow up on pending transactions to ensure timely execution.
  • Monitor cash and securities positions, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.
  • Ensure operational controls are executed effectively, with proper documentation and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate operational risks.
  • Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in securities operations, settlements, asset servicing, or transaction processing within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, securities products, and post-trade activities.
  • Proficiency in English (mandatory).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on risk and control.
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Additional Information

(Hybrid work, with 2/3 days of work in the office in LISBON per week)
