As the intraoperative imaging expert, IMRIS, Deerfield Imaging measurably improve patient outcomes through planning, product integration and clinical workflow to give surgeons access to diagnostic quality scans in operating room suites. The IMRIS Surgical Theatre, which uniquely transport MR and CT scanners to the patient using ceiling-mounted rails are sold globally to hospitals that deliver clinical services to patients in neurosurgical, spinal, interventional and orthopedic markets.

Overview

We seek a Senior Software Engineer who be part of the team designing our all new neurosurgical imaging platform and will help maintain our installed base of neurosurgical imaging systems. The right candidate will have experience with a wide range of embedded software tools, as well as experience and passion in defining and implementing embedded software for motion control, dedicated user interfaces, subsystem interaction management, remote monitoring and onboard diagnostics. The right candidate will have experience in managing project deliverables and leading small software design projects.

Responsibilities:

• Applies advanced knowledge of software development and software products to design and implement next-generation software for new class II medical device embedded systems
• Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and other software engineers to deliver new subsystems and platforms to the market
• Participate in code review, testing, verification and validation, and deployment
• Maintain and develop new features for a legacy hardware and software codebase
• Respond to and provide analysis of customer support issues
• Ensures comprehensive verification to project requirements and validation to customer needs is performed and documented
• Experienced of the principles and application of coding standards and the methods and guidelines for program documentation
• Experienced in FDA submissions for software
• Shares responsibility for SW system administration

Minimum requirements:

• Strong C++ and C# skills
• Visual Studio development experience
• Experience maintaining a large codebase
• Experience with software version control
• Ability to work quickly and independently with minimal direction
• 5+ years developing software for medical devices
• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification
