Job Description

To navigate the growth of IKEA and steer the business towards sustained long-term profitability, including securing financial business performance and compliance with policies and standards.

  • Support the BN manager in budget and forecast process with goals in Profit &Loss (P&L) scenarios using financial analysis and benchmarking.
  • Support the unit’s monthly financial reporting together with the SO accounting team by timely, efficient, accurate and compliant invoice management. This responsibility involves tasks such as:
  1. Monitoring in Navision the consistency of sales and expenses
  2. Ensuring always correct group accounting principles and regulations are applied
  • Monitor the unit´s budget, through close follow-up of the P&L and provide regular updates to Business Navigation manager on the unit financial position and recommend improvement measures in case of deviations and potentials, always working closely with the different business areas.
  • Submit in TM1 the relevant information on time and with the high quality of the data
  • Provide relevant and user-friendly business information on the unit’s performance KPIs by training users how to use and interpret standard reports, securing correct and clear communication of daily sales figures, analysing trends, or deviations where insight is needed
  • Supporting the sales team in converting performance insight into actions towards maximizing business opportunities in the most efficient and effective way. This responsibility involves tasks such as setting the daily sales estimates together with the commercial activities sales leaders and the BN manager, using deep understanding of the different GM lines to consult on gross profit steering, informing on gaps vs. the sales plan and recommending actions to correct underperformance or to tap into commercial opportunities.
  • Supporting the BN in securing a safe, secure, and compliant environment for our customers, suppliers and co-workers by monitoring and implementing financial and commercial audit requirements by internal/external auditors.
  • Promote the use of business cases when identifying, evaluating, and acting on business opportunities. Together with stakeholders analyse and evaluate benefits, costs, and investments, looking at the business from all relevant perspectives, ensuring a good return on investment and qualitative business cases.
  • Navigate towards more effective and cost-conscious ways of working, identifying growth and cost potentials through benchmarking, striving for constant improvements, and closing of the performance gap between units
  • Through your everyday work you contribute to a people and planet positive business, social connection and environmental impact.

Qualifications

  • Interesting in people’s everyday life at home and in home furnishings and identify myself with the IKEA customer
  • Degree in Business/Finance or related
  • Good overview of customer experience processes
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Highly developed analytical and numerical skills
  • Result oriented
  • Curious and willing to broaden its scope of responsibilities
  • Self-reliant and motivated with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
