Job Description

Be a strong contributor to the people agenda of the unit, secure HR subject matter expertise, process HR operations matters and ensure that the HR strategies are locally translated into action in the most effective and efficient way in order to fulfil the purpose of the HR function. Ensure a constructive cooperation with works council/unions where applicable. 

  • Contribute to the creation and operational implementation of the local HR action plan
  • Support the work on local leadership capabilities by counselling on and organizing activities according to agreed development plans
  • Provide HR support and advice to co-workers and managers that helps building the pipeline of internal talent according to agreed succession plan
  • Handle all HR related topics and activities in the Service Office.
  • Handle all mobility processes and questions. (Essential requirement)
  • Support and guide in the recruitment and introduction process. Using the framework to be able to attract and retain people
  • Ensure that we follow national legislation, regulations and valid agreements in the labour market; e.g. employment contracts. (Essential requirement)
  • Ensure that remuneration practices in Service Office are competitive related to local market which enable us to attract and retain the right people in our business.
  • Ensure Service Office staff costs are in line with set targets as set in the budget
  • Work actively with management and competence review as the main tool and method for success
  • Support managers in the development talk/performance appraisals process.
  • Support the different Service Office functions in co-worker survey, ensure goals and actions are identified, communicated and followed up.
  • Reinforce and strengthen the IKEA culture and values in the Service Office

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of documented experience in HR in a large business context.
  • Extensive experience of handling mobility process and contract management in connection. (Essential requirement)
  • Extensive labor law experience and readiness to handle related topics and questions. (Essential requirement)
  • Ability to quickly gain and apply knowledge of the local market, business and labour conditions.
  • A considered decision-maker with the ability to influence management colleagues.
  • Ability to create a win-win situation when handling conflict situations.
  • Experience as a coach and/or mentor.
  • Proven experience in combining both process and results orientation successfully.
  • Business understanding and a background with the customer in focus
  • Effective communication and relationship management experience
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English and Spanish (Bilingual)
  • Facilitation skills.
