If you have a knack for writing clear concise technical documentation, and you enjoy working in a collaborative and innovative team, this could be the perfect role for you! The Documentation team at Sitecore is looking for a new technical writer to join us at our office in [city].

Sitecore’s foundation is our diverse group of passionate, smart, innovative, and collaborative individuals located across four continents and over 25 countries, and our global Doc team includes colleagues in Denmark, Ireland, Belgium, and Canada.

A lot of our documentation is for developers and IT pros, so we’re looking for people who have experience in writing for those audiences, or maybe for someone who’s worked as a developer, with very strong writing skills!

Your Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with SMEs to gather input for documentation.
• Write and maintain API and user documentation for our Sitecore Search product.
• Use community feedback to improve our documentation.
• Review UI text and ensure consistency between UI and docs.

• You have worked as a technical writer for at least 3 years, with experience of writing for developers. You have a good grasp of how to structure content, write good procedures, create clear and concise conceptual content, and follow SEO principles.
• You have an impeccable command of written and spoken English.
• It’s an advantage if you have knowledge of current SaaS and web service technologies such as REST APIs, GraphQL, JavaScript / TypeScript.
• It’s an advantage if you have experience writing documentation in Paligo, and if you’re familiar with Markdown or Markdoc.
• You are quick to understand new technologies and communicate their inherent complexities in a simple, straightforward fashion.
• You are curious and inquisitive with a structured and independent approach to completing your assignments.
• You have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• You are passionate about creating high quality documentation that meets the needs of customers and partners.
