Role description:

Arcadis is growing!  Arcadis Canada is seeking an Senior Software Developer to join our ATMS team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  This role sits within the Global Intelligence Business Area.

Role accountabilities:

• Take a lead role managing a team and building complex public facing production software systems.
• Develop architecture and front-end technical strategies to solve complex designs and interactions.
• Decompose problems into logical end to end tasks to be included in Agile sprints.
• Drive product evolution, quality, peer reviews, discussions, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful public facing applications.
• Help with the development of proposal materials, work plans, schedules, and documentation.
• Identify new technical innovations and opportunities arising from them.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 6 years software development experience
• Minimum 3 years leading a team of software developers
• Minimum 4 years JavaScript, HTML, and CSS experience
• Minimum 4 years with common front-end technologies like React, Angular, Webpack, Babel, CSS preprocessors
• Minimum 4 years delivering and maintaining customer facing production systems
• Strong understanding of the full software development life cycle, including best practices
• Nice to have: Build processes, cloud services like Azure or AWS, NodeJS, Web Sockets
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
