Job Description
The Technical Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and continuously improving the company’s internal database environment and digital solutions. The role combines data modelling, database administration, process automation, and application development to build reliable data structures, automate manual reporting and planning processes, and deliver intuitive internal tools that improve data quality, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
Working closely with business stakeholders, the Technical Manager translates business requirements into scalable, user-friendly technical solutions and ensures their effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous enhancement.
Core Responsibilities
- System Administration & Development: Manage, maintain and continuously improve the internal database and related applications, ensuring system performance, data quality and integrity
- Requirements & Stakeholder Management: Gather and prioritize business requirements and act as the interface between business users, IT and software development teams
- Project & Implementation Management: Lead database, digitalization and automation projects, including the implementation and rollout of new functionalities and applications
- Reporting, Analytics & Automation: Develop Power BI dashboards, automated reporting solutions and data-driven tools using Power BI, Excel, Power Query and other relevant technologies
- Process Optimization & Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities for process automation, digitalization and continuous improvement, including the use of AI-supported development tools
- Advisory & Support: Advise and train users on system functionality, data management and best practices, and provide ad hoc analysis and decision-support to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Management or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in database management, business systems, application development, process automation, data analytics or a related area
Technical Expertise
- Strong data modelling capabilities, with a solid understanding of database administration, data structures, data models, and data management principles
- Experience with AI-assisted software development and low-code development platforms
- Experience developing and optimizing business applications and database environments
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power BI, Power Automate, and/or Power Apps
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and automated reporting solutions
- Experience designing and implementing data integrations, APIs, and automated workflows
- Ability to develop dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions in Power BI and related tools, with a strong focus on usability and visual design
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and functional specifications
- Experience with system configuration, user management, testing, implementation, and system enhancements
- Good understanding of software development principles, application architecture, and user interface design
- Experience in the energy sector or infrastructure is a plus.
