Job Description
Welcome to our Tax Department! As Group Tax Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all German tax affairs across the group. Reporting to the Head of Tax, your role ensures full German tax compliance and contributes to maintaining a robust, efficient, and forward-looking tax framework for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate direct, indirect, and WHT filings for German entities in collaboration with external tax advisors
- Support the tax audit process for all German ib vogt entities, working with both internal auditors and German Tax Authorities
- Function as a Tax Business Partner for the German market team, providing tax advice on structuring and strategic business questions
- Own the quarterly and annual global tax consolidation process (CT and DT P&L and B/S, local GAAP and IFRS), delivering consolidated tax numbers and related disclosures to the Accounting team
- Prepare tax disclosures for the group's IFRS consolidated financial statements and ensure accurate information collection from all group entities
- Support German CFC (Controlled Foreign Company) calculations and filings
- Assist the Head of Tax with implementing new tax forecasting tools, the Tax Governance Framework (TCMS), and developing tax management information packs
- Proactively maintain the Group Tax Compliance Calendar, identify tax risks, and contribute to their mitigation whilst collaborating with International Tax, Transfer Pricing, Accounting, Controlling, and Legal teams.
Qualifications
- German qualified tax advisor (Steuerberater/in)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Tax
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, both verbal and written
- Strong proficiency in standard IT tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Collaborative team player with pragmatic decision-making skills and openness to change
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn; openness to digitalization and AI-powered tools
