Job Description

The Role

After more than 20 years in the role, our long-standing Territory Manager is retiring, creating an outstanding opportunity to step into a well-established territory with a loyal customer base.

This isn't a role for an order taker. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships, earning trust and becoming the go-to person for customers. You'll spend your time out on the road, understanding your customers' businesses, providing practical advice and ensuring they receive the service and support they need.

Based from your home office, you'll manage an established territory covering Taupō, Rotorua, Whakatane, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatū and Wellington, with regular travel throughout the region. You can be based anywhere within the territory.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with plumbing and drainage merchants across your territory.
  • Growing existing accounts while delivering exceptional customer service and account management.
  • Providing product knowledge, technical guidance and outstanding customer service.
  • Working closely with the wider team to ensure customers receive the support they need.

Qualifications

What you'll bring

  • Experience within the plumbing, drainage or related industry.
  • A genuine passion for building long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Self-motivation, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A willingness to travel regularly throughout your territory.

Additional Information

Why join Strata?

You'll join a respected, New Zealand business with quality products, a loyal customer base and a reputation built on service. You'll enjoy the autonomy of managing your own territory, the flexibility of working from home, and the opportunity to build on the exceptional foundation established over the past two decades.

If you're someone who values relationships over transactions and enjoys being out with customers, we'd love to hear from you.
