Company Description

We help locals and tourists get access to the best hotels' amenities without needing to book a room. After just one year we are the leading platform to book daycation in Spain with more than 150 hotels and are already expanding to Portugal, France and Italy.

After a year, we've raised a first round of financing with Reus Capital Partners (investor en Badi y 21 buttons) and some business angels. With it we structured our sales team and hired our first full-stack dev to maintain, improve the platform and launch new features.

Our platform aims to be the marketplace where locals and tourists can find the best daycation experiences in Europe and elsewhere to enjoy the pools, restaurants, spas and more. We're focused on growing fast while maintaining a stable and fast platform.

Job Description

  • Improve, test and maintain existing features
  • Develop, test and launch new features 
  • Work closely with other devs, business and marketing team to prioritize and plan new features
  • Worked on all three layers of the MVC
  • Implement a TDD approach to ensure quality
  • Investigate slow performance and optimizing queries to ensure speed
  • Prepare for the implementation of React by further advancing into a component first approach
  • Improve infrastructure architecture to support growth

Qualifications

  • You have 3+ years experience building scalable systems and applications using languages like Ruby
  • You are experienced with at least one component-based frontend framework like React
  • You are experienced with PostgreSQL 
  • You know how to test software on different levels: unit, integration and E2E
  • You are able to analyse metrics about system health and performance
  • You understand lean and agile practices
  • You have effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • You can professionally communicate in written and spoken English
  • Ideally an understanding of website optimisation and SEO principles
  • You love an open, inclusive culture that supports learning and encourages collaboration 
  • You like to cooperate with product and business stakeholders building together a trust working environment
  • You have experience managing a team
