We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Sawbridgeworth. This is a rewarding permanent position where you will make a genuine difference in the lives of our service users. You will provide essential support and care in a community-based setting, working alongside an experienced team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. • Provide personal care support to service users, including assistance with daily living activities such as washing, dressing, and grooming - Support service users with mobility and movement, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times - Maintain a clean and safe environment for service users, including their homes and communal spaces
• Communicate effectively with service users, listening to their needs and preferences with patience and empathy - Work collaboratively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care - Assist with meal preparation and support service users with eating and drinking where required - Monitor and report any changes in service users' health or wellbeing to appropriate team members
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, ensuring confidentiality at all times - Support service users with social activities and engagement to promote their wellbeing and independence - Adhere to all health and safety protocols, safeguarding procedures, and organisational policies - Undertake training and development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in care provision

• A valid UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential for this community-based role) - Local residency to the Sawbridgeworth area - No previous care experience required – we will provide comprehensive induction training - Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with service users and colleagues
• Physical fitness and ability to provide hands-on personal care support - Reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to attendance - Willingness to work flexibly, including potential shift work patterns - Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance (or willingness to undergo this as part of the recruitment process)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly regarding health and safety - Resilience and the ability to manage the emotional demands of care work
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults and making a positive difference to their lives - Desirable: First Aid certification or willingness to undertake training - Desirable: Experience in a care, healthcare, or customer service environment
