Engineering Manager - Product Tech
- Full-time
Job Description
What if your leadership could shape large-scale, business-critical digital products across a global organization? At H&M Tech, the Engineering Manager plays a critical leadership role, accountable for technical execution, delivery quality, and operational excellence.
The Product domain provides capabilities to design, create, source, and produce customer‑relevant assortments. It covers the full product lifecycle from product design, sourcing, purchasing, to production execution, and is organized into four focus areas that each own a distinct part of this lifecycle. We are currently recruiting for 3 Engineering Manager positions within our Product domain. These opportunities span the Product & Purchase and Product Sourcing areas, where you will lead one of our engineering teams supporting Sourcing Partnership Flow, Purchase Flow, or Labels & Tags

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will lead an engineering team within one of our Product Tech areas—Product & Purchase or Product Sourcing—supporting one of the strategic product teams: Sourcing Partnership Flow, Purchase Flow, or Labels & Tags. You will lead a Product team consisting of various Engineers and operate at the intersection of engineering, data, product, architecture, and business. The team will work closely with the Production Office to understand concrete use cases, shape scalable data and technology solutions, and turn business needs into reliable products that support production teams in their daily work.
You will work in dual leadership with the Product Manager, where you bring engineering leadership, delivery accountability, technical direction, and operational excellence while the Product Manager drives product vision, prioritization, and value realization. Together, you will align priorities, shape the roadmap, and ensure data and digital capabilities are designed, built, governed, and scaled across the Product in close collaboration with architects, specialists, security, analytics, and senior stakeholders.

You bring:
- Corporate leadership experience with direct budget responsibility, including planning, forecasting, prioritization, cost management and accountability for budget outcomes.
- Proven people leadership experience, including recruitment, performance management, coaching, feedback and employee development.
- Ownership of delivery outcomes from planning through execution, with accountability for scope, timeline, quality, risks and dependencies.
- Engineering leadership in a corporate custom software development environment using Microsoft technologies, including Azure.
- Strong technical understanding of modern engineering practices, including agile, DevOps, scalable architecture, cloud platforms, and confidence working closely with engineers on technical decisions and delivery.
- Ability to balance business value, technical feasibility, delivery capacity, and long-term scalability while creating clarity across product, engineering, architecture, and business.
