We are now looking for a driven Junior Product Designer to join our Hardgoods team for on a temporary five month contract. This is an amazing opportunity to build experience from one of the world’s largest interior design brands.

 

Job Description

This is a short term 12 month contract.

As a Product Designer – Lighting, you will create a customer focused commercially strong and trend-driven lighting assortment for H&M Home. You will do design research and translate customer, market, and trend insights into successful products, leading the design process from brief, through concept to final product.

You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of Product Developers, Product Planners, and Product Managers, all specialized in lighting design and manufacturing. You will guide and coordinate a Junior Product Designer who will support you in delivering strong, customer-relevant collections.

This role requires strong organizational skills, structure, and attention to detail. To succeed in this role you need to have a strong sense of style, initiative and good interpersonal skills. You are motivated by working at a fast pace in a friendly team environment!

 

Qualifications

 We are looking for a driven designer who thrives taking ownership. We also think you have:

  • BA in Lighting/Product/Industrial/Interior design or equivalent training
  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant professional experience, with the ability to demonstrate strong lighting design expertise
  • Broad technical knowledge of materials, components, and industry standards and regulations, with a strong focus on lighting design
  • Strong skills in Rhino, Keyshot and Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
  • A creative and trend visionary mindset with a strong passion for all things design
  • A customer-centric mindset with clear understanding of our global H&M Home customer
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • English fluency (Swedish is not necessary)

 

Additional Information

 

Join Us

This is  1 year full time contract, starting at the beginning of November, based in Stockholm.
Due to the contract term, we are unable to offer relocation for this role.
