Job Description
Lead the enablement of SM Commercial teams
- Lead the enablement of SM Commercial teams Responsible for the supply plan for the SMs in relation to the demand plan
- Ensure that Global and Continent Supply Planning strategies, priorities, and best practices are communicated to SMs in an actionable way (via Product Merchandising Leads)
- Oversee stock levels and relevant KPIs (e.g., sell-through) across Planning Markets within the Planning Region and follow up with SMs (via respective Product Merchandising Lead) in case of significant deviations from plans requiring urgent action
- Review and challenge Product Merchandising Leads’ outputs and suggestions on allocation and inventory management topics to prevent over- or understock situations
- Support Product Merchandising Leads in discussions with SMs in cases of strong dissent between SM Commercial and Product Merchandising Leads (e.g., regarding use of R&D budget or other inventory management–related topics)
- Act as key contact point for general commercial questions related to the Planning Region or its Planning Markets for the Head of Supply Planning/Chain Continent and Global Supply Planning
Ensure supply plan matches SMs’ demand plans
- Monitor input provided to Global (via D&S Leads) on buying quantification and warehouse allocation topics to ensure SMs receive the right stock in the right place and at the right time (in line with their local QCPs)
- Oversee the translation of SMs’ bottom-up demand plans into aligned buying volumes and stock allocations from the Planning Region's perspective, ensuring consistency between global guardrails and SM-specific supply needs (in close alignment with D&S Leads)
People development & management
- Foster analytical excellence, collaboration, and ownership within their team through regular performance reviews, coaching and sufficient opportunities for capability building/ skill development
- Provide direction and enable cross‑functional collaboration so teams can solve problems, share insights, and drive customer‑centric improvements.
- Set priorities, empower decision‑making, and uphold accountability to secure strong execution and consistent performance across all areas.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or similar in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field
Skills
- Cross-functional collaboration: Skilled in coordinating between cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution feasibility
- Leadership: Ability to effectively manage teams (i.e., distribute tasks) and foster people development
- Communication : Excellent communication skills with the ability to present clear, data-based recommendations
- Commercial acumen: Strong understanding of product and campaign execution, markdowns, and pricing dynamics
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in product merchandising or commercial planning, ideally within a retail, fashion or FMCG environment with a proven track record of driving/ supporting commercial execution
