Job Description

Sales Operations Sr. Specialist

Position Summary

The Senior Sales Operations Specialist supports the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales organization through process optimization, data analysis, reporting, CRM administration, and sales enablement activities. This role serves as a trusted operational partner to sales leadership, providing insights, maintaining data integrity, supporting territory and quota processes, and driving operational excellence through analytics and automation.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Operations Support

  • Support sales processes and operational initiatives that improve productivity and business outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions that increase efficiency.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to support business objectives.

CRM & Data Management

  • Maintain CRM data integrity through ongoing audits, cleansing activities, and governance processes.
  • Manage account hierarchies, territory assignments, and sales data structures.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and recommend corrective actions.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and scorecards that provide visibility into sales performance.
  • Support forecasting, pipeline analysis, and business reviews through data-driven insights.
  • Assist in maintaining reporting consistency and standardized metric definitions.

Pipeline Management

  • Monitor pipeline health and identify exceptions such as stalled opportunities, missing next steps, or inaccurate close dates.
  • Create and maintain CRM reports, alerts, and workflows supporting pipeline inspection processes.

Territory, Account & Quota Administration

  • Assist with territory planning and account alignment activities.
  • Support annual quota administration and ongoing quota adjustments.
  • Generate analyses to support coverage and capacity planning decisions.

Automation & Process Improvement

  • Support the implementation of workflow automation and operational enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities for AI-enabled efficiencies and automation.
  • Test, document, and support deployment of new tools, reports, and processes.

Sales Enablement Support

  • Create and maintain sales resources, documentation, job aids, and process guides.
  • Provide system and reporting training to sales users.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on sales systems and operational processes.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, or related discipline.

Experience

  • 4–7 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Operations, Sales Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting CRM platforms such as Dynamics CE.
  • Demonstrated experience with dashboards, reporting, and business analytics.
  • Experience working with cross-functional business teams.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • CRM administration and reporting experience.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Data analysis and process documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with automation and AI-enabled productivity tools preferred.
