Job Description

On-site rep for the government as Construction Quality Manager (CQM) associated with Ogdensburg Front Porch & Envelope Repairs Project in support of GSA. Location: Robert C. McEwen US Custom House, Ogdensburg, NY

Period of Performance: Project expected to last approximately 9-10 months; Jun to Apr.

·         Ensure quality assurance is maintained from the start to final closeout of the project.

·         Maintain timely communication with Project Manager on all issues.

·         Develop and implement a Quality Assurance Plan.

·         Review Contractor’s Quality Control Plan and monitor and document adherence to plan

·         Conduct comprehensive daily site inspections and produce daily logs and punch list. Record progress via photographs. Prepare weekly construction inspection report. Track defects and omissions; monitor corrections.

·         Submittals: Review all submittals, route for approval and track, maintain log.

·         Coordinate and work w A/E on all RFI’s; ensure timely processing, tracking and response.

·         Coordinate and lead project status meetings. Attend all construction meetings. Draft, distribute and finalize minutes.

·         Prepare and maintain a marked up set of construction drawings and schedule.

·         Change Orders: Establish and maintain log. Review for validity and make recommendations. Draft scope of work and cost proposal. Review schedule for impact.

·         Contract Closeout: Participate in construction, commissioning and contract closeout. Manage all outstanding items.

Qualifications

·         5+ years similar field construction experience including observing and inspecting work in progress

·         Exp managing project of similar scope and complexity, $1.3 million plus office renovation.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, speak and write the English language fluently

·         Strong computer proficiency including MS Office applications

·         Strong organization and time management skills
