Job Description

Provide on-site functional support to assist with contract management assistance in the facilities department at Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA. Duties include maintaining facility life safety drawings and campus utility system drawing, updating mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other infrastructure drawings such as but not limited to: fire protection, medical gas, pneumatic tube, DDC, IT, DI Water, domestic water and structural based on completed and upcoming projects. Generate/assign and update UFC room codes to show existing usage of the facility by conducting site investigation and collect data from current studies. Generate/assign and updated drawing features such as but not limited to: room pressurization, air flow, egress paths, fire/smoke walls, and smoke compartments. Update all 2d and 3d/BIM drawings. Coordinates with facility personnel to assist in facilities support. NMCSD is a large Active Medical Facility where key concerns include safety, equipment operability, quality control and maintaining Joint Commission compliance.

Qualifications

3+ years AutoCAD/BIM experience

Proficient in Autodesk software (AutoCAD and BIM), Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and behave ethically within a medical environment.

Excellent communications and customer service skills including telephone etiquette. Ability to read, speak and write the English language; correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to prepare and edit written correspondence, reports, and transcribed material.

Ability to read, interpret and apply reference material such as regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc. to accomplish and resolve problems.

Ability to use automated processing equipment and systems such as optical readers and scanners.

Ability to use standard office equipment, such as computers, typewriters, copiers, fax machines, telephone systems and office automation systems, to perform a substantial range of office support.
