Role Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to our patients. Working under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. Your contributions will directly support our healthcare providers in delivering exceptional care.

What You Will Do

• Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
• Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients.
• Measure and record vital signs, maintaining detailed and organized patient records.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed.
• Support providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
• Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
