Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and professional Supervisor - Clerical Support to join our team in Detroit, United States. In this role, you will oversee clerical operations, manage a team of administrative professionals, and ensure the smooth execution of office support functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining efficient and professional clerical operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of clerical staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to organizational standards
- Manage scheduling, work assignments, and performance monitoring for team members
- Oversee data entry, filing, record management, and document processing to maintain accurate and organized records
- Implement and maintain clerical procedures and systems to optimize workflow efficiency
- Train and mentor clerical staff on office procedures, software systems, and best practices
- Monitor and manage office supplies, equipment, and resources within budget parameters
- Communicate with other departments to coordinate support services and resolve operational issues
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, documentation standards, and confidentiality requirements
- Prepare reports on clerical operations, team performance, and process improvements
- Handle escalated issues and provide support to resolve administrative challenges
- Customize and improve clerical processes to enhance efficiency and reduce redundancies
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising or managing administrative or clerical teams
- Strong proficiency with office software and systems (Microsoft Office Suite, email platforms, document management systems)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of clerical operations, data entry, and record management
- Ability to train, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative work
- Problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions independently
- Knowledge of office compliance standards and documentation requirements
- Experience with scheduling and coordination of office activities
- Familiarity with office management systems and software customization
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional departments
