Job Description
Anticipated Contract End Date: March 31, 2027
Work set up: Remote
Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for an experienced Technical Specialist Architect to establish a clear, agreed understanding of the IT Service Continuity (ITSC) requirements for services on its Critical Business Services (CBS) inventory, and to assess whether current technical architectures and service and support arrangements meet those requirements. This is an assessment and analysis engagement that will inform future remediation and improvement work. The successful candidate will engage with business stakeholders and Arm’s Length Bodies (ALBs), carry out gap analyses and produce prioritised recommendations. Candidates must be eligible for BPSS checks, and the role is engaged on a PAYE basis through an umbrella company.
What you will do:
- Review the existing ITSC tiering assigned to services on the CBS inventory.
- Engage with internal business stakeholders and Arm’s Length Bodies (ALBs) to confirm business continuity and recovery requirements.
- Reconcile discrepancies between documented service tiering, Service Operations Guide (SOG) records and ServiceNow (SNoW) data.
- Complete a structured gap analysis between current recorded ITSC tiering and confirmed business requirements.
- Document the agreed ITSC tiering requirements for each in-scope CBS service.
- Review existing technical architectures for in-scope CBS services and assess their alignment with confirmed ITSC requirements.
- Identify gaps between current technical resilience and required ITSC outcomes.
- Develop high-level recommendations and target architecture options to address the gaps identified.
- Review existing service and support arrangements and assess operational and support capability against confirmed ITSC tiering requirements.
- Identify gaps between current support models and required ITSC service levels, and recommend improved service and support arrangements.
- Produce documented technical, and service and support, gap assessments for each CBS service reviewed.
- Deliver a consolidated set of prioritised recommendations identifying the changes required to meet ITSC requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in technical architecture, including reviewing existing architectures and developing target architecture options.
- Knowledge of IT Service Continuity (ITSC), service tiering, and business continuity and recovery requirements.
- Experience carrying out structured gap analyses and producing prioritised recommendations.
- Experience assessing service and support models against required service levels.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow.
- Experience engaging with business stakeholders, including Arm’s Length Bodies.
