Job Description
The civil litigation associate position offers a wide range of litigation opportunities in various phases of litigation for assigned cases, all phases of discovery, appears before state and federal courts, performs legal research, drafts pleadings, motions and briefs, conducts depositions, develops facts, makes legal arguments, reports case updates to managing attorney and clients in defense of our clients. This position will develop strategies for litigated matters, including motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, commercial, product liability, personal injury, construction defect, professional liability, and insurance-coverage matters. Open to NC licensed candidates looking to relocate or already located in the WNC region interested in a flexible hybrid position with Asheville as the home base. Small office environment in larger firm; the best of both worlds.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the areas of civil litigation will be given preference.
- Strong research and writing capabilities are a must.
- Ideal candidate has experience and developed talent in the areas of legal writing, legal research, deposition, hearings, and trial.
- Open to NC licensed candidates looking to relocate or already located in the WNC region interested in a flexible hybrid position with Asheville as the home base.
