About the Role
Are you energetic, reliable, and passionate about fresh food? Guzman y Gomez Manly Wharf is looking for Casual Cooks to join our fast-paced kitchen team right on the water!

As a GYG Cook, you are at the absolute heart of our restaurant operations. You won't just be assembly-lining fast food; you will be working with 100% clean, fresh ingredients to bring vibrant Mexican flavours to life for hundreds of locals and tourists every day.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare fresh ingredients and cook premium proteins according to the GYG recipe guide.

• Master the grill, station presentation, and high-volume food prep.

• Maintain exceptional food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness standards.

• Work collaboratively with the front-of-house crew to ensure rapid, high-quality order fulfilment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Attitude Over Experience: Prior commercial kitchen experience is highly desirable, but a "can-do" attitude, punctuality, and eagerness to learn are what matter most. We provide full training!

• Speed & Stamina: Ability to thrive under pressure in a bustling, fast-paced environment.

• Team Players: A friendly, approachable demeanour and great communication skills.

• Availability: Flexibility to work a mix of morning, day, or late-night closing shifts, including weekends.

• Compliance: Working rights in Australia.
