Job Description
With 50+ corporate restaurants and ambitious growth plans, this is one of the most significant operational leadership roles in Queensland's QSR landscape. As State Manager at Guzman y Gomez, you'll own the full picture - food, people, safety, and P&L - for a brand that doesn't do average.
We're looking for a people-first leader who knows that great food and great teams go hand in hand. Someone who leads from the front, builds culture through action, and holds themselves to the same standard they set for others. You'll coach and inspire a high-performing culinary and operations team, drive food excellence, deliver outstanding guest experiences, and set the foundation for continued growth across the state.
This is a field-first, autonomous role. You'll spend meaningful time in restaurants, and you'll know how to structure your own week to get the best out of your team and your state.
What You'll Own
- Food & Guest Experience: Uphold uncompromising standards across every restaurant, every shift. Food safety, quality, and guest experience are always the highest priority.
- People: Hire, develop and inspire a team who live the GYG values. Build the bench. Develop the next generation of leaders.
- Safety: 100% compliance with GYG food safety and WH&S requirements, always.
- Profitability: Full P&L ownership across Queensland's corporate restaurant network. You understand the numbers, you act on them, and you bring your team with you.
About You
- Significant multi-site leadership experience in QSR, restaurants, hospitality or retail
- Demonstrated P&L ownership across a large, geographically dispersed portfolio
- Proven track record of building and developing high-performing operational teams
- Experience coaching and performance managing Area Managers, Regional Managers or equivalent
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills - you can find the gap and close it
- Solid knowledge of food safety compliance and WH&S management
- Self-directed and field-ready - you thrive without someone setting your agenda
