Job Description

Bulletproof is looking for a Category Strategy Manager to help drive our business growth trajectory.  The Category Strategy Manager is a highly collaborative role that will be responsible for category management and data insight support across the Bulletproof portfolio of products. This means partnering with Sales and Marketing teams to execute growth strategies across our customers by aligning in-market category insights with our portfolio and innovation strategies. The ideal candidate will operate as a key internal influencer, bringing category trends, consumption insights, and channel strategies to drive data-informed decisions for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop category expertise, identify, and articulate business insights and fact-based opportunities by leveraging a variety of retailer, vendor, market/consumption, and shopper data sources
  • Act as the expert in utilizing customer-specific shopper and data platforms to best leverage information to influence decision making
  • Key contributor to the development of customer-specific presentation materials supporting brand and category development
  • Build, manage, publish, and highlight key insights for monthly reports
  • Track internal and competitive new item launches and provide updates regularly
  • Partner with the Innovation team, Marketing, and Sales to identify opportunities on new products/flavors to bring to market using data insight
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis utilizing various data platforms (Nielsen, Spins, IRI, etc.) to support sales and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience in category management within the CPG industry
  • Working knowledge of secondary and syndicated data sources (Nielsen, Spins, IRI, Stackline, Amazon Seller Central, etc. – Experience in all of these sources is not required)
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and visual selling content
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to effectively present complex insights to business partners and leaders
  • Comfortable with fast-paced, demanding environment. Must manage multiple tasks, while adapting to changing priorities
  • Ecommerce or Consumer packaged goods experience highly preferred
  • Always having a continuous improvement mindset
  • Advanced user level in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Additional Information

Annual base salary gross: $90,000 – $100,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position.  The base salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
