Get to Know the Team
The MiniApp Platform team enables internal and external teams to create, onboard, operate and scale MiniApps across Grab. We own the developer tooling, self-service capabilities, developer portal, Horus platform and reliability foundations that make MiniApp delivery safe, observable and efficient.
Get to Know the Role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will shape and build platform capabilities that simplify how MiniApps are onboarded, configured, reviewed, released and operated. You will work across the developer portal and backend services, lead technical decisions and help the team turn complex platform workflows into reliable self-service experiences.
You will report to the Software Engineering Manager, and be based onsite at the Grab One North office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Architect and deliver scalable portal experiences, backend services and APIs for the MiniApp Platform.
- Lead the design of self-service capabilities that reduce manual work and improve the developer experience.
- Drive automation across MiniApp onboarding, configuration, review and release workflows.
- Strengthen platform reliability and observability through telemetry, dashboards, alerts and operational tooling.
- Testing, security, performance and maintainable system design.
- Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, incident response and platform improvement.
- Mentor engineers and help evolve engineering practices across the team.
- Partner with product, design, mobile, backend and infrastructure teams to align priorities and deliver platform outcomes.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Minimum 4 years of full-stack engineering experience with TypeScript and React, together with proficiency in at least one backend programming language.
- Experience designing, building and operating scalable APIs, distributed services, databases and cloud-based systems.
- Knowledge of observability, production troubleshooting and reliability engineering practices.
- Experience designing secure, well-tested and maintainable systems across the full stack.
- Drive design decisions, review complex changes, and mentor other engineers.
- Experience building developer platforms, internal tools, self-service workflows or onboarding systems is advantageous.
