Job Description

As the newest member of our accounting team you will keep our group humming. You have a couple of years of experience working in a busy accounting department and thrive when there are at least three A-priorities that need to be done by the end of the day. You’re excited about business and eager to stretch yourself professionally every day. How you’ll spend your days

  • Processing invoices ensuring accurate coding and timely payments
  • Reconciling customer accounts and minimizing outstanding accounts receivable through collection of past due balances – in the nicest possible way!
  • Communicating with customers and vendors to resolve any disputes and provide excellent customer service – it’s not just about the problem but how it’s resolved
  • Collaborating with sales and support to ensure all orders and returns are processed quickly
  • Continuously evaluating improvements to processes and internal controls
  • Keeping track of our office supplies and making sure we have appropriate “snack-age”
  • Helping out with special projects and ad hoc reports whenever needed

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to the table

  • Degree in a business related discipline 
  • 1 or 2 years of hands-on experience with basic accounting tasks preferably in a company that houses a physical inventory
  • Experience with an ERP like Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Mas90 or MS Dynamics
  • Collaborative team player – we’re all in this together 
  • You are intellectually curious – hungry for knowledge and not afraid to ask for help
  • Naturally detail-oriented – that two cents off on the bank reconciliation will keep you up at night
  • A passion for checklists, documentation and meeting deadlines!
