Job Description

  • Assist pipe fitters and welders during piping fabrication, installation, and erection activities.
  • Support in handling, shifting, loading, and unloading of pipes, fittings, valves, and piping materials.
  • Assist in pipe alignment, fit-up, preparation, and installation activities as instructed by the Foreman.
  • Carry out basic tasks such as cleaning, grinding, cutting assistance, deburring, and material preparation.
  • Assist in installation of pipe supports, clamps, brackets, and other piping components.
  • Prepare work areas, tools, and materials required for daily piping activities.
  • Support rigging activities during movement and positioning of piping materials.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping at the work location and ensure safe access around work areas.
  • Assist in dismantling and reinstatement activities during piping modifications or maintenance works.
  • Support hydrotesting, flushing, and other pre-commissioning activities as required.
  • Ensure correct handling and storage of piping materials to prevent damage.
  • Operate hand tools safely under the guidance of skilled personnel.
  • Follow instructions from the Piping Foreman and support the team in completing assigned tasks.

Qualifications

  • Basic education or vocational training preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical/piping work is an advantage.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Piping Helper in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC projects.
  • Previous experience supporting pipe fitters and welders is preferred.
