Job Description
The GSM for IT is responsible for managing all suppliers related to the procurement of IT hardware and Software as well as maintaining ownership of various SaaS vendors. The candidate is expected to lead the sourcing for all such commodities and manage contract and price negotiations for the IT spend in his region. For supplier relationships of a global scope the GSM will also own the global relation. The ideal candidate also has experience in using or implementing SAP S/4 Hana systems, as well as negotiating software contracts.
Responsibilities
Lead the sourcing process for all commodities related to IT Hardware, Software and SaaS
Lead and manage the contract and price negotiations for all company spend under said commodities
Analyze/develop requirements together with stakeholders to develop a solid understanding of cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost savings
Compile and analyze historical spend as well as providing forecasts
Maintain day to day contact with vendors and be main point of contact for commercial issues
Identify and negotiate commercial cost reduction opportunities
Issue RFx for sourcing assigned commodities
Review, analyze and clarify quotations from vendors
Review PR’s and issue new PO’s for all purchase requisitions.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Between three (3) and five (5) years experience
Excellent analytical and judgment skills. Advanced excel and PowerPoint skills a must have.
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Fluent in Chinese and English in both speech and writing
Ability to work independently
Extremely high integrity and business ethics
Good to have Requirements
Experience in SAP systems
Experienced in negotiating software service contracts
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve business objectives.
Demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and drive process improvement.
Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solving.
Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders
Organizational skills to manage and track transactional details.
Practical work experience form one of the managed commodities
